We are currently seeking an experienced Buyer to join our growing Purchasing Team. This role is ideal for a seasoned Buyer who brings a playbook of successful strategies and data analysis skills. This position will manage a variety of responsibilities within the execution of our overall merchandise strategy and product assortment. 

The successful candidate is able to work comfortably with shifting priorities, in a rapidly changing environment and ecommerce landscape. Strong analytical skills are a must have, as well as the ability to translate that data into an actionable plan.

  • Develop and maintain relationships and ongoing communication with vendors regarding pricing, specifications, payment terms and delivery requirements 
  • Drive overall performance of sales and inventory 
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels through analysis and make recommendations to address aged inventory levels
  • Drive actions across inventory management to support marketing promotions with product availability 
  • Support other team members with facilitating open communication and disseminating information from vendors to Warehouse, Marketing and Customer Relations teams  
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for a variety of tasks including trend analysis, ad-hoc reporting, aging inventory, etc. 
  • Continually monitor purchase order status and advocate for timely/expedited delivery: identify and resolve delivery issues; elevate recurring issues or bottlenecks as needed
  • Communicate changes in product assortments or shifts in delivery timing to appropriate teams
  • Coordinate the delivery of creative assets and resources from vendors to the Design Team 
  • Assist management with product assortment, promotional cadence and pricing 
  • Analyze sales trends and communicate findings to identify opportunities and offerings
  • Monitor sites to ensure compliance with internal policies and external partners, vendors
  • Research industry trends, new products and competitor activity and provide feedback to team
  • Perform data management and entry on a daily basis, including entering large data sets with a high degree of accuracy
  • Prepare necessary materials and arrangements for on-site vendor meetings and events


  • At least five years progressively responsible buying experience 
  • Team contributor who successfully manages their day to day work independently
  • Superb critical thinking and problem solving skills 
  • Strong mathematical skills w/application to retail  
  • Tech savvy with working knowledge of Google Drive
  • Ability to set strategy, prioritize tasks and meet competing demands in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to adapt communication style to a variety of audiences and situations

Major Pluses

  • Prior experience within retail, merchandising, or relevant field/educational background highly desirable
  • Prior experience within the ecommerce industry
  • Acumatica ERP and/or NetStock software experience
  • Advanced Excel skills to facilitate data analysis and critical problem solving skills
